We do like new deliveries, we’re like kids on Christmas Eve, ripping the boxes open with wild abandon!!
The new arrivals at ToyToyjac towers, includes Zooloretto, a board game based around creating your very own zoo!! (how cool?) – ‘Each player uses small, large, wild and exotic animals and their young to try and attract as many visitors as possible to their zoo. But be careful – the zoo must be carefully planned’. For 2-5 players aged 8+ it’s a great family game, and a Winner of 2007 Spiel des Jahre (the board-game world’s top award) to boot!!

Other new goodies include restocks of other Board Games, as well as some new expansions (‘Zombies!!! 3 Mall Walkers’ anyone?!), Sonic and Marvel Tomy Gacha danglers, and some card games, including the hilarious Crap Trumps!!
With new releases for Magic Gathering, Pokemon, and YuGiOh! in the next week or so, we’ve got plenty of over excited sleepless nights ahead!!! Sweet dreams

June sees the release of Star Trek Expeditions, a co-operative board game by multi award-winning Reiner Knizia and Wizkids.
‘A Klingon Battle Cruiser is in orbit, Civil War is threatening to break out on the planet, and the planet is (coincidentally?) reconsidering its application for UFP membership. Your mission is threefold – defuse the threat of Civil War, deal with the Klingon threat, and get the planet to join the UFP. And you only have 30 days (each day is a turn) to do it in, otherwise a Klingon battle fleet will warp in and you will be forced to withdraw (thus failing your mission). Each objective is tracked on a scoresheet that monitors your progress. Decisions you make in the game as well as how you interact with the other players will affect the outcome of the mission. With three difficulty levels, random side missions, player strategies and a unique branching mission tree to ensure every game will be a unique and memorable experience.’

With the Schools rushing back to their new years, with Summer turning into Autumn (we thought winter only ended a couple of weeks ago?), with the shop getting back to normal after the holiday makers have returned, we’ve started on a new stocking spree …. We were hoping for restocks of Settlers of Catan, but it’s out at the distributors 
, we have got the Settlers 5/6 player expansion coming in, together with some new games (Ticket to Ride Europe, Big Brain Academy Travel, Smart Ass Travel, to name but 3!)…

Last Night on Earth….
Since the turn of the year we’ve noticed more and more people of various ages interested in Board and Card games, in the current economic situation we guess it makes sense – Board gaming seems to be the new ‘going out’!
We’re slowly but surely increasing the number of Board and Card games, arriving this week are; ‘Last Night on Earth’ (Zombie game which has very good reviews), ‘Mexican Train Dominoes’ (the Number 1 Domino game, and according to my big sister a must have for everyone that has friends over for dinner!), and ‘Innuendo’ (party game for ages 15+).
